In what is not a surprise at this point, several outlets are reporting that Maryland HC Ralph Friedgen has indeed been forced out at Maryland, and they are set to name Mike Leach the new HC in just days. This report is coming out of ESPN, Orangebloods.com, and the Baltimore Sun. Friedgen had just completed a season in which he had elevated the team from a 2-10 record in 2009 to an 8-4 record in 2010.
This move rings as classless and opportunistic by the Terps. I'll fire more off on this topic on Monday.
