We've already had two victims that were swimming in the Dead Pool before we even got into October, as Lane Kiffin and Paul Pasqualoni were both fired this week. Let's see who may be next, whether in the coming weeks, or at the end of the year.
Jim Grobe, Wake Forest
It seems like forever ago that Wake Forest was in the Orange Bowl, and Jim Grobe had his Decons on a roll. Now the Decons are getting rolled, and last week's 56-7 loss to Clemson may very well have been a deal sealer.
Norm Chow, Hawaii
The Rainbows are a mess, and thy may not win a game this season. Chow was a bad hire, and bad hires are getting rectified in 2013. Chow won't go during the season, but he is likely all done at the end of the year.
Ron English, Eastern Michigan
The Eagles are 1-3, and minus a massive turn around, English will be gone with EMU's new AD bringing in their own coach. It's just a matter of when.
Dan Enos, Central Michigan
CMU's only win this fall? A 24-21 win over FCS New Hampshire. Remember the Dan LeFevour days? I do, and so does the CMU fan base. Enos was a bad hire. It's as good as done.
Mack Brown, Texas
Brown barely escaped his firing tonight when the Horns took one away from Iowa State, 31-30 in Ames. Had the Horns lost, he may have been gone by the end of the weekend. DeLoss Dodds is being forced out (retiring) next August, so Brown should be gone before another AD comes in.
Drowning Victims
Lane Kiffin, USC
The Trojans were 4-7 in their last 11 games, and a 62-41 loss to Arizona State was more than enough to make the move. Technically, he was fired before the final gun with the decision being made in the 3rd quarter.
Paul Pasqualoni, UConn
The Huskies fell to Buffalo 41-12. As of losing to Towson wasn't bad enough. Warde Manual rectified a huge mistake of a hire by dumping PP on Monday morning. TJ Weist takes over as interim head coach, but he was the OC of this football team, and offense has been nothing short of abysmal.
