Final 2013 FBS PRS Rankings

With the final BCS Championship game ever played (thank God), our final PRS Rankings for FBS Football has now been calculated. I thank Keith Harding, our chief statistician and co-editor for his hard work all season for his work on the PRS Rankings for both FBS and FCS football.
We congratulate the Florida State Seminoles for winning both the BCS and the PRS championship in 2013! What we found when Keith calculated the final PRS Rankings was that Florida State may very well have done enough to still finish first in the PRS Rankings even had they fell to Auburn. The Seminoles broke an all-time record when they finished with 3523 points on the season, more than 600 points higher than our previous best finish ever. In fact, when all was said and done, FSU finished an astounding 950 points ahead of our second ranked team, the UCF Knights, who finished with 2573 points. It would have taken UCF five weeks of winning to catch up to FSU in the end. No season in our history has ever seen such a huge gap between the champion and the runner up. Michigan State finished 3rd, at 2532 points, just 41 points back of UCF. Ohio State and Louisville rounded off the final top five.
Despite their loss in the Poinsettia Bowl to Utah State, Northern Illinois had put enough points up earlier to still finish 6th, despite also losing the MAC title game. Baylor, Missouri, Oregon, and Auburn wrapped up the top ten.
What's a PRS Ranking without conversation about the bottom ten, the worst of the worst in 2013. The worst program in the country in 2013 ended up being Georgia State, a transitional program who finished 125th at 0-12, with a bottom basement -2440 points, or over 5900 points behind Florida State. The nations other winless program, Miami (Ohio), finished 124th, with a staggering -2244 points. Purdue, Florida International, California, UMass, Idaho, Western Michigan, and Southern Mississippi all won just a single game to end up in the bottom ten, while two win New Mexico State rounds out the national FBS bottom ten for 2013.
Without further delay, here are the final PRS FBS Rankings for 2013, with all 125 schools ranked:
