Our Awards Season continues as we move to our FCS All-Bilo positional players of the year, and we begin with our choice for FCS Quarterback of the Year. Our finalists had huge seasons for different reasons, and here they are:
Vernon Adams-Eastern Washington...One of the most dynamic FCS QBs. Passed for 55 TDs
Jimmy Garoppolo-Eastern Illinois...Led FCS with 5050 yards passing
Michael Nebrich-Fordham...Led the Rams to their best season since Vince Lombardi played
Congratulations to all of our finalists. And the winner is:
Jimmy Garoppolo-Eastern Illinois
Garoppolo led the Panthers to one of their best seasons in recent memory, and in the process passed for 5050 yards while tossing 53 TDs to only 9 picks in 14 games at the trigger. Garoppolo completed 66% of his passes on the season, just edging out runner up Vernon Adams by 0.4% while completing 375 passes in 568 attempts. Congratulations once again to Jimmy Garoppolo and to the Eastern Illinois program.
