Finalists and Winner: 2013 FCS All-Bilo Running Back of the Year

We could have given out two awards at running back at the FCS level in 2013, but as great as two performances were, one was even that much better. FBS boasted one 2000 yard rusher in 2013, but FCS football boasted two. Here are our finalists for our 2013 FCS All-Bilo Running Back of the Year.

Lorenzo Taliaferro-Coastal Carolina
Terrence West-Towson
Zach Zenner-South Dakota State

Zach Zenner rushed for 2015 yards on the season, which is a rare enough task in college football on any level, even with extra playoff games. However, one player was even better in 2013, and the winner is:

Terrence West-Towson
If you weren't following college football in 2013, what West did was beyond crazy. He rushed for 2519 yards and 41 TDs in 16 games, helping to drive the Tigers to their first ever birth in the FCS title game, where they fell to North Dakota State.
When breaking it down, West rushed for 2.563 TDs per game this season, and averaged over 5 yards per carry over a grueling 16 game slate. West has already declared for the NFL draft, as he was a junior this season, and as he runs like a true power back, somebody is going love having this guy playing for them on Sundays. Congratulations to Terrence West, and to the Towson program.
