Colonial Athletic Association 2017 Football Projections

James Madison brought a national title to the CAA last season, and they appear loaded once again. Will this season be another glorious season for one of the best leagues in FCS football?

1. James Madison: The Dukes are in solid shape to make a repeat run at the national title.
2. Richmond: Spiders look like a playoff lock after hiring Russ Huesman as coach.
3. Villanova: Mark Ferrante takes over as head coach, Wildcats look to make another playoff run.
4. New Hampshire: Wildcats open season in league play, have a shot at a quick start.
5. Albany: Great Danes have some nice pieces, beat UNH and Buffalo last season.
6. William & Mary: WRs are loaded, but a QB is needed.
7. Maine: Bears can make a splash by beating UNH in opener, are a bubble team for playoffs.
8. Stony Brook: Defense is rock solid, but offense needs to step up.
9. Delaware: Danny Rocco took the challenge of getting the Blue Hens back on track.
10. Towson: Tigers finished with 3 straight wins, but finding stars will be a task in camp.
11. Elon: Curt Cignetti comes over from D2 IUP, and may be the guy to turn the Phoenix around.
12. Rhode Island: Rams had worst rush attack in CAA last season, will try to stay out of the cellar.
