Northeast Conference 2017 Football Projections

It appears that the NEC is once again a two team race, with Duquesne and St. Francis set to run the show for another year. The rest of the league appears wide open from the 3 to 7 spots, and the question is can anyone chase the Red Flash or the Dukes this fall?

1. Duquesne: AJ Hines rushed for 1291 yards as a freshman, will be key piece to the offense.
2. St. Francis: Kamron Lewis is one of the best receivers in FCS football, Flash are pushing for title.
3. Wagner: The only team that can really push top 2, defense will lead the way.
4. Sacred Heart: Pioneers lost their final 4 games last fall, will look to bounce back.
5. Central Connecticut: Blue Devils have not had a winning season in 7 years.
6. Robert Morris: Colonials averaged just 11.1 points per game last fall.
7. Bryant: Marty Fine is out as coach, James Perry, former Princeton OC, is in.
