FBS Defensive Back of the Year 2010

The final defensive player of the year is up for naming. Again, this will be a difficult pick, as I will only name one winner that covers safeties and corners. Once again, there are so many very good DBs in college football, so this is my list of players that wound up as finalists...

Byron Lander, Baylor; Jamie Bender, UAB; Ahmad Black, Florida; Jayron Hosley, Virginia Tech; Robert Lester, Alabama; Mana Silva, Hawaii; Cliff Harris, Oregon; Jamell Fleming, Oklahoma; Keith Tandy, West Virginia

This is a tremendous group of athletes, and once again, I would have no prblem naming any of them to this award, but again, there can be only one. I am happy and proud to name the following athlete as our All-Bilo FBS Defensive Back of the Year. The winner is...

CLIFF HARRIS, OREGON
Harris is one of the most dynamic DBs in PAC 10 history. Harris is a player that you never want to throw the ball towards, as he led the nation in passes defended with 23 (6 picks, and 17 passes broken up). When Harris picks you off, he has the speed and ability to take it to the house. What's scary is that Harris is just a sophomore, and will be back in a Ducks uniform in 2011. That also means that he can actually get better.
Congrats to Harris and to the Ducks Football Community.
