FBS TE of the Year 2010

The awards for the offensive positional awards for 2010 keep on coming. I am very proud of the group that I have selected up to this point in Kellen Moore, LaMichael James, and Justin Blackmon. I continue at this point by selecting the best TE in America for 2010. I am proud to list the following finalists (and yes, I know there are 11 instead of 10)...........

Lance Kendricks, Wisconsin; Michael Egnew, Missouri; Lucas Reed, New Mexico; Coby Feeler, Stanford; Kyler Reed, Nebraska; Cameron Graham, Louisville; Ted Bolser, Indiana; Vance McDonald, Rice; DJ Williams, Arkansas; Ladarius Green, Louisiana-Lafayette; Virgil Green, Nevada

Each of these players had amazing seasons at the TE position, but again, only one player can win this award in 2010. At this time, I am pleased to announce the winner................

LADARIUS GREEN, LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE
Green is an upset pick, or will be seen as so by most, but trust me, Green had a tremendous season. Green was a favorite target in the Ragin Cajun passing game, and was relied on even more heavily in losses, which unfortunately, were plentiful in 2010 for ULL. On the season, Green picked up 44 catches for 794 yards. He caught 7 TDs on the season. Green is a junior this year, meaning that he is also slated to return in 2011. Do yourself a favor next fall, and make sure that you find some film on this guy.
Congratulations to Ladarius Green and to the entire Louisiana-Lafayette Football Community, and better luck for a winning season under new HC Mark Hudspeth in 2011.
