FBS RB of the Year 2010

I am proud to continue my series announcing the ALL-Bilo Positional Players of the Year. I have named Kellen Moore of Boise State as QB of the Year, and now, I continue by naming the ALL-Bilo RB of the Year FBS 2010.
I will begin by naming my finalists for the award. They are as follows:

Chad Spann, Northern Illinois; LaMichael James, Oregon; Vick Ballard, Mississippi State; Mikel Leshoure, Illinois; Jordan Todman, Connecticut; Bobby Rainey, Western Kentucky; Vai Taua, Nevada; Daniel Thomas, Kansas State; Lance Dunbar, North Texas; Kendell Hunter, Oklahoma State

Congratulations for this group of incredibly talented backs. Each of them has produced at the top of their game this season, and they all would qualify if named as the winner of this award, but only one will walk away with the 2010 season.

The winner of the 2010 FBS All-Bilo RB of the Year Award is.............

LAMICHAEL JAMES, OREGON
James was probably a clear cut winner of this award from the first game that he played in 2010. He missed one game due to a suspension, but played the rest of the season without further incident, and completed his season by announcing that he would return to the Ducks in 2011. James led the FBS in rushing with 1731 yards on the season, and also led the nation in yards per game with 144.25. James averaged 5.87 yards per carry this season, and found the endzone 21 times. With a full season under his belt, James will come into the 2011 season as a Heisman favorite along with Kellen Moore.

Congratulations to LaMichael James and to the entire Oregon Football Community.
