Notes: Duke is treating the NC Central game like a rivalry, but it is nothing of the sort. The non conference scheduling is lacking in name power, but the trips to Notre Dame and Northwestern could be brutal...After playing Army on 10/8, the Devils do not return home again until taking on Virginia Tech on 11/5, one of the longest stretches in the nation. This stretch does include a bye week...Duke also gets screwed by having two short weeks this season, as they get six days between Army and a visit to Louisville, and they only get five days between Virginia Tech and North Carolina. At best, I see Duke splitting those four games.
