Baylor 31, Boise State 12
The Baylor Bears finished one of the most controversial seasons of all time in a blowout fashion with this win over Boise State in Phoenix. Baylor led 31-6 before Boise State scored a late TD to edge it under a 3 TD game, but Boise State never seemed to be in the game from the start.
KD Cannon caught 2 TD passes in the win, and Baylor snapped a 6 game losing streak. The Bears held an opponent to under 21 points for the 1st time since October in the win. The loss was the worst of the season for the Broncos. Cannon caught 14 passes for 226 yards on the night.
This was the first ever meeting between the two schools.
Baylor is now 12-11 in bowls, while Boise State fell to 11-6.
Baylor forced 3 turnovers in the win.
Taylor Young led all tacklers with 17 for Baylor.
Brett Rypien threw 2 picks after throwing just 6 all season.
Baylor held the football for just over 27 minutes in the game despite having such a massive lead.
Terence Williams rushed for 103 yards in place of Shock Linwood, who declined to play in order to prep for the NFL draft.
