Arkansas State 31, UCF 13
Arkansas State capitalized on several early mistakes by UCF, and jumped out to a 17-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter, and the Red Wolves won their first bowl game since 2012 in the win over the Knights, who lost Scott Frost's bowl debut.
Kendell Sanders caught 5 passes for 127 yards and 3 TDs in the win for ASU, but the Red Wolves won despite only converting 9 1st downs. Both teams combined for just 41 yards rushing on the game, and both teams converted on just a combined 6/35 on 3rd downs.
14 Arkansas State points came off of UCF fumbles, of which they lost 3 on the day. Justice Hanson completed just 12/26 passes for 205 yards and 3 TDs.
