Coaches Swimming in the Dead Pool: 2014 Volume 3

With our Hot Seat candidates now identified, here are our Dead Pool candidates for this week:

Larry Blakeney, Troy
Troy has not been at all competitive in 2014, and coming off of a 66-0 loss to Georgia, Blakeney looks to be nearing the end of the line of his 24 year stay with the Trojans. It's time for new blood in this program, as the ship has sunk and hit rock bottom this season.

Troy Calhoun, Air Force
The more I think about it, the more I believe that Calhoun is a goner at Air Force. The Falcons look like they will struggle in MWC play, and with the probe I've been speaking of, Air Force needs new direction.

Norm Chow, Hawaii
This is just a matter of time now. The Rainbows lost to Colorado this week, and their only win this season was against Northern Iowa in a game they nearly lost. His overall record is 5-23, and the program is bleeding money.

Tom Mason, SMU
With June Jones having quit after week two, he left his mess in the lap of Mason. Mason had his first audition for the job this weekend, and lost to Texas A&M by 52. I'm guessing that Mason is heading out the door right behind Jones.
