Post Game Notes: Utah State 51, Idaho State 13

Here are the post game notes from tonight's 51-13 win by the Utah State Aggies against the Idaho State Bengals. Notes are provided through the Utah State Sports Information Department:

TEAM NOTES
* Utah State’s 596 yards of total offense is the 12th-most in school history and the most since it gained 646 yards at Louisiana Tech in 2012.
* Utah State’s 51 points are its most since posting a 58-27 home win against Wyoming in 2015.
* Utah State improved to 16-2 all-time against Idaho State and 81-17-6 all-time against Big Sky schools. USU has now won 11 straight games against FCS schools.
* Utah State is now 27-6 in its last 33 home games, which includes a 19-6 record under head coach Matt Wells. USU is also 15-3 in its last 18 non-conference home games, including a 7-2 record under Wells.
* Utah State improved to 14-10 under Wells following a loss and has lost back-to-back games just six times under Wells..
* Utah State has now won 19 of its last 22 games when it has a 100-yard rusher and 23 of its last 25 games when it has at least 40 rushes in a game. USU finished the game with 255 yards on 49 carries
* Utah State has won 12 of its last 20 games played in the month of September, including 10 straight at home.
* Utah State forced two turnovers (two interceptions) in the first half and has now forced 113 turnovers in its last 64 games, including at least one turnover in 50 of its last 64 games. USU has also recorded 55 interceptions in its last 51 games, including at least one pick in 27 of its last 51 games, and multiple interceptions in 17 of its last 51 games.
* Utah State improved to 23-6 under Wells when scoring first, 18-8 under Wells when leading after the first quarter, 25-5 under Wells when leading at the half, and 27-2 under Wells when leading after the third quarter. USU is also now 22-1 under Wells when scoring at least 30 points.
* Utah State captains are senior RB Tonny Lindsey Jr. (4), junior LB Chase Christiansen (48), sophomore LB Justus Te’i (51) and redshirt freshman S Baron Gajkowski (15).
* Four Aggies made their first career start tonight in junior DE Adewale Adeoye (55), redshirt sophomore TE Dax Raymond (87), sophomore LB Dalton Baker (24), and redshirt freshman CB Ja’Marcus Ingram (36),

OFFENSIVE PLAYER NOTES
* Senior QB Kent Myers (2) threw two touchdown passes (3, 19) tonight, giving him 33 in his career to rank eighth all-time in school history. Myers finished the game 24-of-26 passing for 323 yards. Overall, it is Myers third career 300-yard passing game and 12th-career 200-yard passing game. In fact, Myers’ 323 passing yards are the third-most in his career.
* Senior QB Kent Myers (2) rushed for two touchdowns (23, 36), giving him 16 rushing touchdowns in his career. Overall, it is Myers’s fourth career game with multiple rushing touchdowns.
* With his 85 rushing yards, senior QB Kent Myers now has 1,208 rushing yards in his career to rank 22nd all-time in school history as Myers moved ahead of Jerry Hughes (1,144), David Fiefia (1,193) and Profail Grier (1,194) tonight.
* With his 323 passing yards, Myers now has 5,390 passing yards in his career to rank eighth all-time in school history, moving ahead of Matt Sauk (5,385). Myers also now has 460 career completions to rank fifth all-time at USU as he moved ahead of Anthony Calvillo (448), Tony Adams (456) and Eric Hipple (459) tonight. Myers also now has 746 career passing attempts to rank eighth all-time in school history, moving ahead of Travis Cox (738).
* Junior RB Eltoro Allen (22) rushed for 103 yards on 19 carries and scored his first career touchdown on a 9-yard run.
* Junior WR Ron’quavion Tarver (1) caught his first touchdown of the season and fourth of his career on a 3-yard reception.
* Redshirt freshman WR Jordan Nathan (16) caught his first career touchdown on a 19-yard reception.
* Senior RB LaJuan Hunt (21) had 51 rushing yards to give him 1,096 in his career as he now ranks 27th all-time in school history as he moved ahead of Joe Hill (1,052), Buddy Allen (1,068) and Melvin Blue (1,074).

DEFENSIVE PLAYER NOTES
* Senior CB Jalen Davis (13) tied his career-high with two interceptions and scored his second career touchdown on a 25-yard interception return in the second quarter. Davis now has two interceptions this season and eight in his career. Overall, Davis now has four career interceptions against Idaho State and two career touchdowns against the Bengals as he also had two interceptions against ISU as a true freshman in 2014, returning one 44 yards for a touchdown. Davis is the first Aggie to have multiple interceptions in a game since he did so against Idaho State in 2014. Davis also had one pass breakup, giving him a team-best 22 in his career.
* Freshman LB Maika Magalei (39) had 1.0 sacks, giving him 2.0 sacks and 2.0 tackles for loss on the season.
* Junior DE Adewale Adeoye (55) had a career-high four tackles, including his first career sack and tackle for loss.
* Junior LB Louy Compton (44) blocked a punt in the fourth quarter, which was USU’s first blocked punt since doing so against Fresno State last season.


SPECIAL TEAM PLAYER NOTES
 * Sophomore PK Dominik Eberle (62) was 2-for-2 on field goals (40, 22) and is now 3-for-3 on field goals this season. For his career, Eberle is now 6-for-8 on field goal attempts, including 4-of-4 from 20-29 yards and 2-of-4 from 40-49 yards. Eberle also scored a career-high 12 points in the game as he was 6-of-6 on extra points.
* Senior P Aaron Dalton (89) had one punt downed inside the 20-yard line, giving him three punts this year and 49 in his career downed inside the 20-yard line.
* Sophomore PK Michael Smith made a 42-yard field goal on his first career attempt in the fourth quarter.
