The Coyotes are in the midst of an off-season rebuild, and continued the process by signing Forward Michael Grabner on a 3 year deal. The speed merchant finished the season by finishing with 36 points on 27 goals and 9 assists. His speed game should open up the ice somewhat for play makers already on the ice. He played for New Jersey and the Rangers last season, and will be 30 years old on opening night.
The Rangers traded him to New Jersey in February 22nd, and he scored just 2 points in the playoffs for the Devils. Financials were not disclosed on the deal.
The Coyotes still have 5 Group 2 FAs, and and 4 Group 3 FAs. They have already lost Joel Hanley (Dallas), and Zac Rinaldo (Nashville) from the Group 3 FA class, and have Freddie Hamilton and Sean Maguire out there as UFAs.
