Buffalo made a huge mark in signing Goalie Carter Hutton, who led the NHL in GAA for players who started at least 20 games last season. He gets a 3 year deal with an annual value of $2.75 million per season. He is with his 4th franchise, but is likely valued as a number one goalie right out the gate by the Sabres.
Scott Wilson was resigned for 2 years after scoring 14 points on 85 shots on goal last season. He was acquired via trade last December from Pittsburgh.
The Sabres also signed Scott Wedgewood to a one year deal.
Buffalo has 4 Group 2 FAs left, with none signed. They have lost Chad Johnson from the Group 3s, but still have 7 unsigned. Seth Griffith was lost from the Group 6s, but 2 remain unsigned. Victor Antipin was lost from the UFA group, as he returned to Russia. Wilson was re-signed as a UFA.
