Bilo's College Football Conference Title Chase Reports: Sun Belt Week 11

Troy, Arkansas State, Appalachian State

Troy took control of their own destiny this today, when they beat Appalachian State at home, 28-24. Jordan Chunn rushed for 129 yards and a TD, and the Trojans used a late rushing score to stay unbeaten, and also won their 7th straight. Troy will now take on Arkansas State this coming week, and if they win, they control the Sun Belt race, and will likely lock up a conference title.
Arkansas State can still win the conference title, but they need to knock off Troy on the 17th to get there. The Red Wolves have now won 5 straight, and Justice Hanson passed for 257 yards and 2 TDs in an easy 41-22 win over New Mexico State. This scenario would have seemed ridiculous a few short weeks ago, but ASU has pushed on to a huge showdown.
Appalachian State is out of this race. They could still tie for the league title by winning out, but Arkansas State would win on tie breaker if they should tie with App State, and if Troy wins out, the whole point is moot.

Bowl Eligible: Troy, Appalachian State, Idaho
Bowl Ineligible: New Mexico State, Georgia State, Texas State
