Bilo's College Football Conference Title Chase Reports: American Athletic Conference

AAC

East: Temple, USF, UCF
Temple was idle this week, but they control their own destiny at this point. They have already beaten USF, who they are tied with at the top of the East, and they have also beaten UCF already this season. Temple still has to win out, or get another loss from USF, and they would be in the AAC title game.
USF got all they could handle today against the Memphis Tigers, and held on to win 49-42 on the road. Quinton Flowers passed for 263 yards and 2 scores, and rushed for another 210 yards and 3 more scores to act as a one man show for the Bulls in the win. USF still needs a Temple loss, and also needs to win out, but they are still in the thick of things.
UCF absolutely needs Temple to lose out, and needs to beat USF in order to steal the division as well. UCF held Cincinnati out of the end zone, which extends the Bearcats end zone futility to 10 quarters now. The Knights beat UC 24-3 in Orlando today, as they forced 3 Bearcat turnovers in an otherwise ugly win.

West: Navy, Houston, Tulsa
Navy now controls their own destiny in the West after holding off Tulsa 42-40 today. Will Worth rushed for 3 TDs and passed for one more, as the Middies took control of the division. They have now beaten both Houston and Tulsa, and can clinch the division with a win next week.
Houston needs some help right now, but if Navy were to lose their final 2 league games, Houston could sneak back in and steal the division. Houston jumped out to a 28-10 lead over Tulane at the half, and then really fell off the radar with just 2 points in the second half in a 30-18 win over the Green Wave.
Tulsa has now lost to both Houston and Navy, but 2 losses by Navy, one loss by Houston, and Tulsa winning out would hand the division to the Golden Hurricane. If Navy wins next week, this is also all moot.

Bowl Eligible: USF, Temple, UCF, Navy, Houston, Tulsa, Memphis
Bowl Ineligible: East Carolina, U Conn, Tulane
