I continue my annual All-Bilo Positional Player of the Year series with my FCS team, beginning with the Quarterback position. Here are my finalists for the 2016 All-Bilo FCS Quarterback of the Year:
Gabe Gubrud, Eastern Washington
Jeremiah Briscoe, Sam Houston State
Devlin Hodges, Samford
DeVante Kincade, Grambling
Taryn Christian, South Dakota State
There was a solid group at the top of FCS football this season at QB, making this a very difficult decision in the end. Finally, the winner is...
Jeremiah Broscoe, Sam Houston State
It was a rather stellar season for Briscoe and the Bearkats of Sam Houston State. SHSU won our regular season PRS championship behind the passing of Briscoe, who threw for 4602 yards and a whopping 57 TDs on the season, as compared to just 10 picks in 13 games. Briscoe completed 62.7% of his passes on the year, and finished with a QBR of 172.9.
Congratulations to Jeremiah Briscoe and to the Sam Houston State program!
