2016 All-Bilo Running Back of the Year: FCS

The annual All-Bilo awards series continues in FCS fotball with the Running Back position for 2016. Here are my finalists:

Khalid Abdullah, James Madison
Chase Edmonds, Fordham
Tarik Cohen, North Carolina A&T
Jonah Hodges, San Diego
Lorenzo Long, Wofford

After careful consideration, the winner of the 2016 All-Bilo Running Back of the Year for FCS football is...

Chase Edmonds, Fordham
Chase Edmonds did more in a shorter season did than some of the other candidates with more games on their slate did, which is why I have given this award to Edmonds this season. Edmonds averaged 163.5 yards per game in 11 games this season, as the Rams were snubbed for the post season. He rushed for 1799 yards this season with 19 rushing scores, and added a 20th total TD receiving. He carried the ball 257 times in 11 games, making him a work horse back for the Rams, and averaged 7 yards per carry on the season.
Congratulations to Chase Edmonds and to the Fordham program!
