Bilo's Quick Liberty Bowl Recap

Georgia 31, TCU 23

Nick Chubb rushed for 142 yards, and Georgia won a back and forth effort over TCU in Memphis. Chubb also rushed for one score on the day. The loss ensured just the 3rd losing season in Gary Patterson's career at TCU, as the Frogs finish 6-7. Georgia finished 8-5 in the first season under Kirby Smart. There were 5 lead changes oin the game.
Georgia has now won 4 bowls in 5 tries, and rushed for a team 248 yards, on 5.7 yards per carry. The Bulldogs sacked Kenny Hill 5 times, 3 of those coming from defensive lineman Trenton Thompson.
Despite the sacks, Kenny Hill managed to lead TCU with all 3 TDs scored on the day, passing for 2, and rushing for the other. Both of Hill's TD passes went to John Diarse, his only 2 receptions on the day.
For Georgia, it was their 30th bowl win, a feat shared only by Alabama and USC.
TCU fell to 9-5 in bowls under Patterson.
