Bilo's Quick Texas Bowl Recap

Kansas State 33, Texas A&M 28

Texas A&M completed their 2016 implosion by falling to Kansas State at Houston. The Aggies finished 2-5 after starting the season 6-0 and being ranked as high as 4th nationally.
Jesse Ertz had a solid game for K State, passing for 195 yards and a score, while rushing for 67 yards and 2 more scores in the win for the Wildcats. K State finished by winning 6 of their final 7 games, and finished with a surprising 9 wins on the year, another solid coaching job by Bill Snyder.
Kansas State has now won 4 straight against the Aggies, with the overall series tied at 8 games a piece.
Byron Pringle caught Ertz's lone TD pass, and caught just 3 passes on the night, but turned that into 107 yards. Kansas State also won the turnover battle, as the Aggies committed the only 2 turnovers of the game.
Both teams combined for 867 yards of offense.
Trevor Knight came back from injury this season to complete 30/48 passes for 310 yards and 3 TDs for the Aggies in the loss. Josh Reynolds caught 12 of those passes for 154 yards and 2 scores.
Kansas State and Texas A&M are now both 1-1 all time in the Texas Bowl.
