Conference Title Chase Updates Week 11: Big 12

Big 12

Contenders
Oklahoma: The Sooners have the edge in a 5 team race for the final two spots in a Big 12 title game. They have already beaten Oklahoma State and have TCU and West Virginia coming up. If they can handle TCU this week, it is total advantage Sooners for the top spot.

TCU: If the Frogs can beat Oklahoma this week, they then have an advantage for the top spot in league play. After Oklahoma, the Frogs only have to beat Texas Tech and Baylor, which may be the easiest lineup of any of the remaining contenders.

Oklahoma State: The Cowboys still could get into the second Big 12 finale spot, but they need some help after having already lost to TCU and now Oklahoma. This week, the Cowboys have an elimination game against Iowa State. The Cowboys have also already beaten West Virginia.

Iowa State: The Cyclones could ill afford the loss to West Virginia this week, but remember, they still have wins over both TCU and Oklahoma, and any loss by either team moving into the final few weeks gives the Cyclones a huge advantage in moving up. After playing Oklahoma State this week, ISU only has to beat Kansas State and Baylor to get into position.

West Virginia: The up and down Mountaineers have somehow remained in this race, but they need more help than anyone to stay there after losses to TCU and Oklahoma State. They need to beat Oklahoma, and an Oklahoma State loss to Iowa State sure would help as well. They still have Kansas State, Texas, and Oklahoma left on the slate.

Big 12 Bowl Eligible: Oklahoma, TCU, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Iowa State
