East Contenders: FAU, FIU
FAU: The Owls can lock up a spot in the conference title game against North Texas by beating FIU this week. The Owls have a 2 game lead with two to play, but a win over the Panthers gives them the necessary tie breaker at the end of the season the FAU can at least split their final 2 games. FAU wraps with Charlotte.
FIU: It's down to one game for the Panthers. It's all about beating FAU, and then hoping for a loss by the Owls to Charlotte the final week. If that can happen, then Butch Davis has won the division, stealing it from Lane Kiffin and the Owls.
West Champions: North Texas
By virtue of having already beaten both UAB and Southern Mississippi, the Mean Green has locked up the West. UNT has a non con game with Army this week, and then wraps the season against a one win Rice team the following week while awaiting their opponent in the CUSA title game on 12/2.
Bowl Eligible: FAU, FIU, Marshall, North Texas, UAB, Southern Miss
Can become bowl eligible this week: Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, UTSA
