Coaching Update 3pm PST

The latest updates available...

Miami
According to footballscoop.com, Miami is willing to pay Jon Gruden $3 Million per season. Mark Richt has stated that he has not been contacted and fully expects to be back at Georgia in 2011 with his staff intact.

Sacred Heart
Paul Gorham is being fired as HC of the Pioneers. SHU debuted in our PRS top 35 in early September, and the season went south after that. This is not a surprise. No word on replacement candidates as of yet. stay tuned.

Indiana
Chuck Neinas and his firm have been brought on board to help with the coaching search. Fred Glass has also contacted Tony Dungy and Bill Polian to consult. Bill Lynch was fired today after IU defeated Purdue yesterday.

San Diego State
AD Jim Sterk is putting together a major financial package for HC Brady Hoke to retain him, as Minnesota has made some very aggressive overtures in recent days. No details have been announced, but it would have to be substantial in order to compete with Big 10 money.

New Mexico
Word from Keith Harding is that New Mexico will be retaining Mike Locksley as HC on order from the office of the Governor. The state (like all others) is in a financial crunch, and UNM is still paying off Rocky Long and Rich McKay (former hoops coach) from their tenures, and it is not viable at this time to pay off a third coach. The Lobos are stuck with him for now unless some money bags booster pays the bill.
