LaMichael James, Oregon
James leads the nation in rushing, rushing yards per game, and has 17 TDs to go along with everything else. Remember that he also missed the New Mexico game due to suspension, and has not had any further issues since the suspension.
Kendell Hunter, Oklahoma State
Hunter has been the forgotten man when it comes to shining a light on the OSU offense. The passing game works as well as it has because Hunter is keeping defenses honest with his 137 yards per game rushing.
Bilal Powell, Louisville
Louisville has always been a pass first school, but Powell is changing all of that. Louisville is working towards a bowl game in Charlie Strong's first season, and Powell has had a huge part in that. He is hurt now, however, and may be surpassed on the list.
Vai Taua, Nevada
Taua has also been banged up, but has still been highly productive in the Pistol attack. Taua once again has busted the 1000 yard marker, and Nevada is 8-1. Not a coincidence.
Daniel Thomas, Kansas State
The Wildcats will be heading back to a bowl in 2010, and you can thank the multi-dimensional Thomas for that. He is a team leader, and his rushing skills have brought K-State back to respectability.
