Dabo Swinney, Clemson
A loss to South Carolina this week would put Sabo squarely on the hot seat next season. A win would take some heat off.
Jim Grobe, Wake Forest
Grobe is well liked at Wake and for good reason. The Deacons will, however, need to start showing some progress next season for Grobe to maintain his good standing.
Randy Shannon, Miami
The loss to the Hokies really out a heat lamp on the program. Cane fans are starving for an ACC title, and they will start demanding one soon.
Dave Wannstadt, Pittsburgh
The Panthers fell really flat this season in a terrible Big East. Demands are going to be huge next season.
Danny Hope, Purdue
Hope has not been the guy that the Boilers were hoping for when they agreed to hire him when Joe Tiller left. Purdue is in bad shape.
Bill Lynch, Indiana
What do you need to see that tells you that he is not the guy. Another great start doomed by a terrible conference run. Same old crap.
Mike Price, UTEP
There have been rumors that Price could go sooner than later. Nothing is in concrete, but the heat is on high.
BobToledo, Tulane
Out of the dead pool but not because he deserves it. ONly because the AD says that he will likely get another season. I don't get it.
Bill Cubit, Western Michigan
Cubit continues to struggle. A win this week may save himself, but a loss could dump him into the pool.
Steve Fairchild, Colorado State
Fairchild has been given another year to turn this thing around. He has some talent to handle it, but it's got to show results.
Jeff Tedford, California
The results are not there. Never been in a BCS bowl, despite the talent level that has been in Berkely for some time.
Dennis Erickson, Arizona State
Erickson has been given one more season by his AD. He was lucky to get it. He won't get another.
Rick Neuheisel, UCLA
Rumor is that Neuheisel is about to dump Norm Chow. That's a start. UCLA needs big changes.
Mark Richt, Georgia
He's been given one more season to get it right. This is the last chance in Athens.
Derek Dooley, Tennessee
He had better get it right next season. Volfans are unforgiving.
Howard Schnellenberger, FAU
FAU owes him everything, but it may be time to find an heir to the program.
