FBS MVP Candidates-DB 11/19

Jayron Hosely, Virginia Tech
Hosley is in a 3 way tie for first with 7 picks on the season. A ball hawk that keeps the Hokies from being victimized in the passing game. Also a key contributor to a defense that pulled itself together to key an 8 game winning streak. 14 passes defended this season.

Robert Lester, Alabama
It wouldn't be a season if the Tide did not have a player on this list. Bama is always known for strong D, especially in the secondary. Also has 7 picks.

Mana Silva, Hawaii
The 3rd player with 7 picks. Silva is a ball hawk and has helped propel the Rainbows to heights that nobody would have seen as possible in 2010.

Prentice Waggner, Tennessee
True, he only has 3 picks, but he took them all to the house.

Jamell Fleming, Oklahoma
Tied for the national lead with 15 passes defended.

Cliff Harris, Oregon
Also has 15 passes defended, so I cannot leave him off of the top list. He would be the only player on the list that has a shot to be a positional MVP at 2 different spots this season.

HONORABLE MENTION

Casey Hayward, Vanderbilt
Xavier Rhodes, Florida State
Leon McFadden, San Diego State
Stephen Harrison, Kansas State
Domonic Cook, Buffalo
