College Football PASS/FAIL Report: Independents Week 3

INDEPENDENTS:

PASS: Notre Dame

The Irish get a win in a game that was like watching paint dry, but a win is a win. DeShone Kizer didn’t collapse in his first start as ND QB, but the win wasn’t perfect. The next man up attitude is taking hold, however, and Notre Dame is far from done.

FAIL: Army, BYU

The Cadets are now 0-3, but keep on losing games by less than a TD. Eventually, they have to figure out a way to win these close games.

BYU had UCLA against the ropes last night heading into the 4th, and they gave up at the wrong time. There were no more miracles at the Rose Bowl last night, as Tanner Mangum’s last minute drive was stopped by an INT to Myles Jack to seal BYU’s first loss.
