Week 4 PASS/FAIL Report: Sun Belt

SUN BELT

PASS: Appalachian State, Georgia Southern

Appalachian State rolled up on Old Dominion and blasted the Monarchs on the road in a 49-0 win. The Mountaineers are primed up for a big run in SBC play as conference play begins.

Georgia Southern got a huge jump in SBC play, as they traveled to Idaho, and after a tough first half, the Eagles cruised in the second in a 44-20 win on the road.

FAIL: UL-Monroe, Arkansas State, UL-Lafayette, Texas State, South Alabama, Idaho

The league went 2-6 this week, so there was little to brag about with the FAIL group. UL-Monroe was shut out by Alabama, Arkansas State was never in it in a 30 point loss to Toledo, UL-Lafayette lost by 3 TDs against the worst team in the MAC, Texas State lost by 45 and their DC (Jon Thompson) quit, South Alabama lost by 50 to NC State, and Idaho got destroyed at home in their league opener. Not a great week.
