PASS: Air Force
That’s right…just one
passing grade this week, and that goes to Air
Force. The Falcons beat San Jose State to open their MWC season at 1-0, and
the Falcons went to the ground to do it. Air Force has got an edge in
conference play now, but is that really saying much after the week that this
league just had?
FAIL: Utah State, Hawaii, UNLV, Fresno State, Boise State, Nevada,
Colorado State, Wyoming, San Diego State, New Mexico, San Jose State
Not only was this a
horrible weekend for the MWC, it was an all-time terrible weekend for any
conference, ever! The conference went 1-11 overall this weekend, and that
included only one conference game played. I won’t get into the individual
schools, because everyone largely failed for the same reasons, and the
conference wasn’t competitive in most of these losses. The average by which MWC
lost this weekend was by 22.64 points per loss. It just doesn’t get much worse
than that.
