Big12
PASS: Baylor, Iowa
State, West Virginia, Kansas State, TCU
Baylor moved to 32-3 at home since 2011, and Seth Russell
tossed 4 TD passes, as Baylor held off Oklahoma State, and Baylor is 4-0 for
the 3rd straight season, the 1st time in school history
that they have ever managed that.
Jacob Park tossed 3 TDs in the 1st half before
being rested, and Iowa State racked up over 500 yards of offense in getting
their 1st win of the season 44-10 over a reeling San Jose State
club.
West Virginia made a key stop in the 4th
quarter, and the Mountaineers rode 332 yards passing by Skylar Howard in a
35-32 win over BYU at Landover, Maryland.
In a game called at the half due to severe lightning,
Kansas State raced to a 35-0 lead over FCS Missouri State, and the game was
called. Jesse Ertz passed for 2 TDs on 7/8 passing.
TCU struggled for a half against rival SMU before Kenny
Hill ramped up for 452 yards passing on the night, and they have now taken 9 of
the last 10 from SMU after the 33-3 win.
FAIL: Oklahoma
State
Oklahoma State failed to score on two drives that ended
at the Baylor 3 yard line, which was enough to make the difference in a 35-24
loss to open Big 12 play. OSU also failed to capitalize on time of possession,
having held the football for over 41 minutes in the loss.
