Bilo's Week 4 PASS/FAIL Report: ACC

The ACC had a stellar week, with only two failing grades coming to teams that both lost in conference play this week, Georgia Tech, and Pitt. In all, the ACC receives a whopping 10 passing grades in week four. Here are the final grades for the week:

ACC
PASS: Louisville, Florida State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Boston College, Wake Forest, Duke, North Carolina, Clemson
Lamar Jackson racked up another 7 TDs to give him 25 for the season in 4 games, and Louisville busted a 4 game losing streak to Marshall. Jackson is now on pace for 100 TDs this season.
Dalvin Cook rushed for 266 yards and 3 TDs, as Florida State bounced back from last week’s devastating loss to beat USF soundly on the road.
Kurt Benkert tossed 5 TDs as Virginia got their first win of the year and stumped the upset hopes of Central Michigan at home. Virginia blew a 28 point lead, but scored 21 points in 10 minutes in the 4th to pull away.
Jerod Evans accounted for 4 total TDs, and Virginia Tec snapped a 2 game losing streak to East Carolina, running out to a 38-0 lead by halftime in the process.
Amba Etta-Tawo caught 12 passes for 270 yards, and a late defensive TD was enough to hold off U Conn in East Hartford for a 31-24 Syracuse win.
Patrick Towles passed for 2 TDs, and ran for 2 more, as Boston College survived an early 7-0 deficit to beat Wagner 42-10.
Wake Forest QB John Wolford passed for a TD and rushed for 2 more, as the Deacons held off Indiana on the road 33-28 to go to a shocking 4-0.
Duke bounced back from a couple of bad weeks, as Daniel Jones passed for 3 TDs to give the 21 point underdog Blue Devils a 35-32 win at Notre Dame.
Mitch Trubisky tossed 5 TD passes, and UNC rallied for a stunning 37-36 win over Pitt in ACC play. Trubisky engineered a final drive where the Tar Heels converted on 4th down 3 times.
Clemson held Georgia Tech to just 23 yards at the half, and rolled to a 26-7 win over the Yellow Jackets to open ACC play. Deshaun Watson is now 22-2 at QB for the Tigers, the best in school history.

FAIL: Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh
Georgia Tech needed to control tempo if they were to beat Clemson at home, but it was not to be, as Clemson rolled to a 23-0 lead at the half. Justin Thomas passed for just 49 yards, and rushed for -25 yards on the night.

Pittsburgh blew a 13 point lead in the final ten minutes in a loss to North Carolina in ACC play. Pitt held the ball for just over 40 minutes, yet still found a way to lose the game.
