Bilo's College Football Week 4 PASS/FAIL Reports: PAC-12

The two top teams in the conference were both challenged this week, as both Stanford and Washington needed late scores to win, with Washington winning in OT. Oregon State continues to be terrible, while UCLA continues to play badly against top tier opponents. USC is a mess, and Arizona State continues to win without playing a lick of defense. Here are the final grades for the PAC-12 in week 4:

PAC-12
PASS: Stanford, Washington, Colorado, Arizona State, Utah
Stanford trailed until 24 seconds left, and then they scored to take their 9th straight from UCLA. Ryan Burns tossed a TD pass to go ahead at the end, and a Josh Rosen fumble was returned to put UCLA away for good. Stanford gets Washington next week.
Washington survived a challenge from Arizona, beating the Wildcats on the road 35-28 in OT. The Huskies were run on, and Jake Browning had his worst game, yet the Huskies still managed a road win.
Colorado, who had Oregon on the ropes last season, managed to hold on to win one this season, 41-38. Steven Montez rolled up 333 yards passing, and added another 135 rushing, and the Buffalos moved to 3-1 on the season.
Arizona State scored a whopping 31 points in the final quarter, and held off a California rally to defeat the Bears at home 51-41. Manny Wilkins passed for a score, and ran for 3 more.
Utah won on a last second TD pass from Troy Williams, who passed for 2 TDs on the night, and the Utes beat USC 31-27 at home to take control of the PAC-12 South.

FAIL: UCLA, Oregon State, Arizona, Oregon, California, USC
UCLA entered the 4th quarter with a 4 point lead over Stanford, but when the game ended, the Bruins had lost their 9th straight to the Cardinal. Coach Jim Mora has still never beaten Stanford or Oregon during his tenure at UCLA.
Oregon State trailed 31-7 at the half to Boise State, and then made it more interesting in the second half, but still never managed to get close in a 38-24 loss.
Arizona rushed for over 300 yards on the night, but still could not find a way to upset Washington, and Rich Rodriguez has now dropped to 22-8 at home during his run in Tucson.
Oregon coach Mark Helfrich has suffered some heat heading into the week, and the seat is about to get hotter after Oregon dropped their second straight game, this time to Colorado in Eugene.
California has no ability to play defense at all, and this week allowed 31 points in one quarter in a 10 point loss at Arizona State. If Sonny Dykes cannot find a way to coach defense at some point, he may be out at Cal as well.

USC is now just 1-3 after their loss at Utah, and the grumbling has gotten louder in LA. Clay Helton is taking a beating, and the seat is getting severely hot. USC played their best game against a power 5 opponent, but they have to win some of these eventually.
