Curtis Johnson, Tulane

We have discussed this job recently, and the problem still remains as to whether or not the current lame duck AD makes this move before leaving in June or not. My assessment is that he should make the move and save his replacement the problem. Tulane football is terrible, and keeping Johnson for another season makes zero sense.

Darrell Hazell, Purdue

A loss to Nebraska this week removes Purdue from any bowl consideration, and quite frankly, should be enough to remove Hazell from this job. Hazell seemed ill suited for this job from day one, and has never adjusted the program’s trajectory since arriving. It’s time.

Kyle Flood, Rutgers
This is a done deal, and we all know it. With all of the damage and baggage that this job comes with, could Greg Schiano even get it turned back around if he returned?

Derek Mason, Vanderbilt
Beating Missouri may have saved him until next season, but Mason isn’t the right fit for Vandy football. His clock is ticking short of a miracle.

Mike London, Virginia
It was stated that it would take 8 wins to save London. Short of a miracle late season push, he will finish with just a 7-5 record if UVA was to go unbeaten to finish. That’s not going to happen. Now, UVA fans are calling into shows to ask who a good replacement could be, and how strong is the job overall. I would say this is all but settled.

Charlie Partridge, FAU

This was a desperate hire to begin with, so there’s that. Partridge’s Owls are just 1-6, and 1-3 in CUSA play this season, and it’s getting worse, not better.

Norm Chow, Hawaii

Looking at Chow on the sidelines, he just looks beaten. The Rainbows have lost 6 games already, and the next loss pushes them out of bowl alignment, will kill whatever attendance is left, and will eventually spell the end.

Trent Miles, Georgia State

I don’t care that you beat New Mexico State and Ball State this season, the program is a disaster, and isn’t going to get better anytime soon.

Todd Berry, UL-Monroe

The AD stated that no changes would be made during the season, but he didn’t talk about after. Berry had to get ULM to a bowl this season, and that will not happen. Expect a change immediately after the final game.

Doug Martin, New Mexico State

If the Aggies had any money, and I mean any money, this is a done deal. The AD was asked about this situation last week, and gave the dreaded kiss of death full backing, stating that Martin will be with NMSU until the end of 2017. I cannot for the life of me seeing that as being a real possibility, but it could be if NMSU cannot afford a buyout that they ridiculously wrote into the contract to handcuff themselves to a miserably losing football coach.

Paul Rhoades, Iowa State

This is also a done deal, as ISU is slipping further out of the bowl picture. The Cyclones are just 2-5 currently, and with a loss to Texas this week will be on the bubble of being done. A 7^th loss, and you can start counting down the days to the press conference.
