The Title Chase
The question of the day is as follows…is Florida that good, or is the SEC East that bad. The answer? Both apply. Florida is pretty good, not great, but pretty good, while the SEC East is a disaster of epic proportions. Four of seven teams are under .500 in conference play and overall. That’s a terrible sampling, and brings down the rest of the conference.
The good news is that Florida can play relaxed football, as they have locked up the division and will play in the SEC title game.
Alabama, in the meantime, may just be their dance partner in the finale. Alabama destroyed LSU, and that 14 point differential wasn’t even that close. Alabama dominated LSU from start to finish, and completely shuttered Leonard Fournette. Ole Miss helped out by losing a head scratcher to Arkansas, so the Tide now has control despite their only loss having come to the Rebels earlier in the year. If Alabama wins out, or if Ole Miss loses again, the SEC finale is an Alabama/Florida battle.

Bowl Eligible: Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Florida, Georgia
Ineligible For Bowl Contention: None
