The Title Chase
The Mountain Division is still a little bit of a mess. Boise State and Air Force are tied for 1st, both at 4-1 in conference play. Utah State fell out of that tie, as they were surprisingly beaten by New Mexico. The Aggies are a game back, while UNM sits a half game back of USU. This race is too close to call, and if Boise should lose again, Utah State has already beaten them, and USU takes on Air Force this week. Boise has to win out, but so do the Aggies. USU visits Air Force this week, and wraps with San Jose State in conference play, while they close the year with a non con date with arch rival BYU.
Boise gets New Mexico at home this week, Air Force at home next week, and closes at always tough San Jose State.
Air Force has to play both USU and Boise, and wraps with a road trip at New Mexico. Strangely, if the Lobos get lucky, UNM finds themselves right in the middle of this race.
San Diego State is now 5-0 in the West, has a two game lead with three to play, and can lock up at least a tie this week with a win. Nevada takes on San Jose State in an elimination game this week, but if the winner cannot catch a break, both teams will be done in 2 weeks with this chase.

Bowl Eligible: Boise State, Air Force, San Diego State
Ineligible For Bowl Contention: Wyoming, Fresno State, Hawaii
