Don't rearrange your day for these games, but keep an eye out.
Navy at Maryland
The Terps need a huge win, and this would be huge. If they lose to the Middies, Ralph Friedgen may as well start packing his bags.
Vegas Line: Navy -6
I Pick: Navy...If I were Friedgen, I'd already be packed, especially with a new AD coming on.
Richmond at Virginia
Here is a game where a 1-AA squad can steal a win in 2010. Virginia's coach was Richmond's coach last season...This game may be fun.
Vegas Line: None
I Pick: Richmond
Kentucky at Louisville
Two new coaches are starting new eras in this game. Charlie Strong, the Florida genius, takes on Joker Phillips, the heir apparent to savior Rich Brooks. Neither team is very good, but this game should be all out war.
Vegas Line: UK -5.5
I Pick: UK, but just barely
Illinois vs. Missouri @ St. Louis
This will probably be the beginning of the end for Ron Zook. Missouri does lose RB Derrick Washington after sexual assault charges were levied against him. It won;t matter, as Illinois does not have the talent to keep up with the Tigers. It'll just be interesting to see Zook start to fold under the pressure that will begin this weekend.
Vegas Line: Mizzou -13
I Pick: Mizzou without a concern
Western Michigan at Michigan State
WMU is desperate to prove that last season was just a fluke. MSU has a history of losing games to MAC teams, especially when they are heavily favored. This game should be highly watchable.
Vegas Line: MSU -20.5
I Pick: MSU straight up, but the points scare me away
Purdue at Notre Dame
Danny Hope is trying to get Purdue rolling. Brian Kelly is cranking the engine over in South Bend. These guys usually play it close.
Vegas Line: ND -10
I Pick: ND, but by no more than 10
Wisconsin at UNLV
Not even remotely saying that UNLV has a shot here, but UNLV has given the Badgers some major hemroids in years past. This will be the beginning of the Bobby Hauck era in Vegas, and exciting times are ahead for the Rebels.
Vegas Line: UW -17
I Pick: UW
Colorado vs. Colorado State @ Denver
Someone will get into a major drunken brawl in the stands. That's fun, right?
Vegas Line: CU -10.5
I Pick: CSU with the points, but CU straight up
UCLA at Kansas State
Neuheisel is running out of excuses at UCLA. It's time to win, but can they some into Manhatten and do some damage against a downtrodden Wildcat team?
Vegas Line: K State -1
I Pick: UCLA...on a limb
Memphis at Mississippi State
Normally wouldn't go out of my way to watch either of these teams play, but when they get together, it's usually good TV, if you can find it that is. Memphis gets up for these games.
Vegas Line: MSU -20
I Pick: Memphis with the points, but MSU straight up...it's going to be tight
Villanova at Temple
The battle of Philly was won by Nova in 2009. Temple is a very good team, and even after the loss to the 1-AA Wildcats, they still made a bowl and damn near won the MAC. Can Andy Talley and the Wildcats work more magic?
Vegas Line: None
I Pick: Temple...Al Golden won't let the embarrassment happen two years running.
Next forecast for Saturday will consist of the best of the best...look for it tomorrow night. Stay tuned...
