Saturday Preview Week 4-Part 2

If going out anywhere involves a room with a TV in it somewhere, then you won't be mad.

NC State (3-0) at Georgia Tech (2-1)
Vegas Line: GT -8.5
I pick: NC State
I hate to support Mercenary O'Brien at all, but Tech shows me nothing right now. Tech has their backs against the wall, but if they slip behind early, how will they come back with no passing ability whatsoever? The desperation factor is what sells here. Russell Wilson trumps Josh Nesbitt anyday.

Virginia Tech (1-2) at Boston College (2-0)
Vegas Line: Tech -4
I pick: VT
This is the kind of home game that the Eagles love to lose. Tech should come out on top in week two of the "Comeback Kids".

Toledo (2-1) at Purdue (2-1)
Vegas Line: Purdue -12
I pick: UPSET ALERT!!!!!! Toledo
The Boilers have been barely passable aginst some very passable teams. Toledo has been a different team since the Arizona game,so I am giving the Rockets every shot at pulling out the road W.

Central Michigan (2-1) at Northwestern (3-0)
Vegas Line: NW -7
I pick: UPSET ALERT!!!!!! CMU
This is too good of a chance to pass up a potential upset with CMU needing a quality win for the resume. Northwestern has busted into the PRS this week, but CMU is a team that could be ready to surge ahead. Look out!!!

UCF (2-1) at Kansas State (2-1)
Vegas Line: K State -7
I pick: K State
As Admiral Ackbar once said in Return of the Jedi..."It's a trap!". K State had better be on their A game, as if there is a team that may be able to handle Daniel Thomas, it could be the Knights.

Miami (Ohio) (2-1) at Missouri (3-0)
Vegas Line: Mizzou -19.5
I pick: Mizzou
The Tigers may win the game, but not beat the spread this week. The Redskins have shownno fear this season, and quite frankly, the Tigers are not coming off of their best home game ever, barely squeaking one out over San Diego State. Miami has a long way to go in their rebuilding process, but an upset here would do wonders at pushing that process along.

Wake Forest (2-1) at Florida State (2-1)
Vegas Line: FSU -18
I pick: FSU
Both teams are desperate not to lose this week, but don't try to play safe, because that is when you do lose. FSU has to bring everything to bear at home, and will.

Temple (3-0) at Penn State (2-1)
Vegas Line: Penn State -14
I pick: Penn State
You could be watching Joe Paterno coach against his eventual replacement in Al Golden. Temple does have a very slight shot at an upset win here, and if that happened, it would be win #2 against a BCS team on the road.

UCLA (1-2) at Texas (3-0)
Vegas Line: Texas -15.5
I pick: Texas
Here is the rub...One of the overlooked aspects of UCLA's big win over Houston last week was how good the defense was. If UT slips up this week (they probably won't) this could get interesting.

Nevada (3-0) at BYU (1-2)
Vegas Line: Nevada -4
I pick: Nevada
All of you BYU haters out there will probably get a good show from #19 Nevada this weekend. This will be a nice signature win for Nevada, even if BYU is way down in 2010. Colin Kapernick already has 13 TDs for UNR this season.

Northern Iowa (1-1) at Iowa State (1-2)
Vegas Line: None
I pick: ISU
Look out for this one, as it is not set in stone. The Panthers always play the Cyclones tight. This is bordering on an UPSET ALERT!!! for me.

Georgia (1-2) at Mississippi State (1-2)
Vegas Line: PK
I pick: Georgia
If UGA falls this week, there will be calls for Mark Richt's head on a platter. Both teams are in full desperation mode for this game in Starkville.

Oregon State (1-1) at Boise State (2-0)
Vegas Line: Boise -17.5
I pick: Boise
The Broncos are always on the watch list, just because of their machine like nature. Oregon State is a team that never starts out strongly, and so they will stick with that identity this weekend. Boise State cannot afford to lose a single game.

California (2-1) at Arizona (3-0)
Vegas Line: Arizona -6.5
I pick: Arizona
The Wildcats are contenders, while the Bears appear to be pretenders...again. The old familiar Kevin Riley appeared again for Cal last week, and it was not pretty. Arizona is making a power move in the PAC-10, and their first ever conference title is at stake.

Oregon (3-0) at Arizona State (2-1)
Vegas Line: Oregon -11.5
I pick: UO
The Devils took Wisconsin right to the end last week, but were foiled by a blocked PAT. The Devils D had better be ready for the quack express headed their way, because if the Devils slip, the Ducks will have them run under before they have a chance to see straight.
