Here is a game by game take in one line of today's action. Please note that several games are still in action, and I will add to this when they are complete sometime tomorrow afternoon. Hope that your Separation Saturday was great!

UConn 45, Buffalo 21
Pass: UConn did not fold when the Bulls challenged them at the half, and got solid play from QB Cody Endres.
Fail: Jerry Davis had a 42.9% completion rate for Buffalo and tossed 3 picks in the loss.

Pass: Ralph Friedgen gained another measure of job security.
Fail: Mario Christobal did not.

NC State 45, Georgia Tech 28
Pass: Wolfpack is 4-0 for first time in Tom O'Brien era...he's still a mercenary.
Fail: Eventually, Tech will have to find a way to throw the football.

Virginia Tech 19, Boston College 0
Pass: Darren Evans looked very good at RB for the Hokies, and the defense gets a shutout.
Fail: BC getting shutout at home is about as rare as a combat free driving day in Boston.

Wisconsin 70, Austin Peay 3
Pass: Oh, this was what the Badgers were saving themselves for.
Fail: The fact that the Badgers even scheduled APSU at all.

Toledo 31, Purdue 20
Pass: I called it!
Fail: Purdue's lack of heart this season and Danny Hope's prospects for a long term future.

Northwestern 30, Central Michigan 25
Pass: Northwestern's rush defense shut down Ryan Radcliffe and Paris Cotton.
Fail: NU's inability to grab a big lead and keep the Chippewas down in the 4th.

Pass: The awesome "D" on the helmets to honor Coach Dantonio as he heals.
Fail: UNC tossing 4 picks and being outclassed on the whole.

Michigan 65, Bowling Green 21
Pass: Denard Robinson busting loose and posting entire game minutes in about 9 minutes of actual work.
Fail: Robinson banging his knee on the turf, as he cannot be injured if UM wants a succesful season.

Iowa 45, Ball State 0
Pass: The Hawkeyes tear into a tasty cream puff after a rough night in the deserrt last week.
Fail: Ball State HC Stan Parrish and his ability to get anything from this team this season.

Pass: The Vols squeak out a close one.
Fail: UAB should never be a close one.

Fail: Win #2 against 1-AA competition...beef up the schedule Wahoo's.

Air Force 20, Wyoming 14
Pass: The Falcons came from behind with a 13-0 4th quarter.

Pass: The Tigers gained 476 yards and 26 1st downs.
Fail: Miami was showing progress defensively, and the lid got blown off tonight...exposed!

Army 35, Duke 21
Pass: Army feels a rythm coming on...finally.
Fail: Duke can't get it together, and their only win in 2010 has been against Elon.

Fail: Paul Wulff gets closer to the unemployment line for used up failed D1 coaches.

Syracuse 42, Colgate 7
Pass: Delone Carter rushed for 172 yards and 4 scores.
Fail: Syracuse only led Colgate 14-0 at the half.

Fail: ASU wasted another strong game by QB Ryan Aplin.

North Carolina 17, Rutgers 13
Pass: I called it! UNC won their first.
Fail: Rutgers is one of the most overrated teams in the country, and Greg Schiano's team has a long way to go.

Florida State 31, Wake Forest 0
Pass: Christian Ponder had a solid game passing and threw for 0 picks, although he fumbled twice, and the D gets a shutout.

Pass: Another incredible job by Jim Harbaugh.

Fail: BYU's swan song in the MWC takes another swoon.

Tulsa 41, Central Arkansas 14
Pass: Tulsa finally found an offense that they could keep out of the end zone on a freakishly quick basis.
Fail: My call for an upset alert for this game...oops.

North Texas 21, Florida Atlantic 17
Pass: UNT got their one win for the season, but not against the team that I thought that it would come against.
Fail: FAU's pride...how do you lose at home to North Texas?

Middle Tennessee 34, Louisiana-Lafayette 14
Pass: The Blue Raiders getting into a groove with the return of Dwight Dasher at QB on the horizon.
Fail: ULL HC Ricky Bustle fails to get a jump on the Sun Belt again, and gets closer to the end of his job security.

Pass: Marshall finding a win and not blowing it.
Fail: Ohio is off to a miserable start when they had a real shot of contention in the MAC.

UL-Monroe 21, SE Louisiana 20
Pass: Todd Berry getting a win...they'll probably be rare.
Fail: Should not have had to struggle so much to beat the Lions at home.

Southern Miss 13, Louisiana Tech 12
Pass: The Golden Eagoles have won 3 in a row.
Fail: Tech still has not displayed that "high octane" offense that we heard so much about...the engine sounds like it's knocking.

Fail: The motor stopped pushing in the second half for the Hoosiers.

Nebraska 17, South Dakota State 3
Pass: A win is a win, I guess.
Fail: The Black Shirts got passed out this week, but only the effort in this game seemed dark.

Fail: NMSU has not been competitive at all this season.

Iowa State 27, Northern Iowa 0
Pass: ISU needed a win, evenif doesn't count for much.

Fail: Mark Richt should get ready to be fired...it's coming.

Florida 48, Kentucky 14
Pass: Florida proves that they are not done crushing the SEC East.

South Florida 24, Western Kentucky 12
Pass: The rushing game was solid for the Bulls, but not much else was.
Fail: USF failed to put the Hilltoppers away, and failed to show any interest in really being on the field today.

Pass: Ole Miss finally woke up and beat someone that was worth beating.
Fail: My choice as Fresno for an upset alert. Damn again.

Auburn 35, South Carolina 27
Pass: Incredibly entertaining game to watch, and Cameron NEwton is becoming a star.
Fail: Spurrier's questionable judgement by bringing the freshman QB Shaw into the game for that all important drive at the end of the game over Stephen Garcia, who sucked, but has more experience.

Utah 56, San Jose State 3
Pass: Utes march on easliy.
Fail: San Jose State's credibility as a college football team.

San Diego State 41, Utah State 7
Pass: Brady Hoke and company are doing a fine job of pushing the Aztecs into a bowl in year two.
Fail: Utah State lost any momentum that they had built up in close losses this season.

Pass: Thank God for Patrick Peterson.
Fail: West Virginia takes another hit along with the rest of the Big East hierarchy.

UTEP 16, Memphis 13
Pass: UTEP gets another important win.
Fail: Why was it so hard to beat Memphis?

There are 4 games still in progress, and this list will be made final tomorrow. Also look for the FCS Pass and Fail report tomorrow as well.

Good Night
