Taught a Master's Class
Houston Cougars
Lose Case Keenum to a concussion? No big deal, just hand the ball to Bryce Beall, and let Cotton Turner have a shot at tossing the ball around the field at a 90% completion rate. UTEO could never keep up. The Cougars are just klicking right now.

East Carolina Pirates
Ruffin McNeill is shocking the CUSA, as his Pirates are 2-0 in league play, and Dominique Davis has had a rebirth at QB. Nobody saw this coming.

SMU Mustangs
June Jones and crew gave Texas Tech all they could handle last week, and this week, they didn't have to try nearly as hard. UAB is a bad team, and SMU is quite a good one. The passing game was not nearly at its best, but RB Zach Line controlled the tempo.

Didn't Learn Much
Southern Miss Eagles
The Eagles should have destroyed the 1-AA Panthers, but they never completely pulled away to turn this into a good old fashioned blow out win. Statitically speaking, there was nothing special about this win. One good note, as the Panthers were held to 211 yards on the day.

Rice Owls
The Owls won in what is considered to be their only real shot at outright victory this season. However, the Owls were outgained and turned the ball over too much. Makes you wonder how they managed the win.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane
Tulsa won a game against a young and innefective Bowling Green team. IN other words, they didn't beat anyone of any status. Tulsa is well behind where I thought that they would be in 2010.

Failing Grade
Marshall Thundering Herd
There is no excuse in losing a game when you lead 21-6 in the 4th quarter. That's what you call a complete collapse.

UTEP Miners
The Miners don't have Donald Buckram, and Trevor Vittatoe cannot survive without him. The Miners will have the walls fall in on them until they can get Buckram back, and there really is no telling when that will be as he has a bruised knee.

Memphis Tigers
The Tigers are going to basically flunk out for 2010. There is no sign that there will be any measurable improvement this season, and Larry Porter seems to be in way over his head here.

UCF Knights
The Knights let NC State get out ahead early, and a comeback fell short. Qb Rob Calabrese was benched in the 3rd quarter for freshman Jeff Godfrey, and it now seems that on top of losing at home to a team that didn't do a damn thing offensively, you now also have a QB controversy.

UAB Blazers
The Blazers were a non-entity this weekend against SMU. That being said, the clock is slowly winding down to Neil Calloway's final days.

Tulane Green Wave
Just another CUSA funeral durge. Tulane is simply already winding down to the end of the season, and with that another wasted season will be lamented, and Bob Toledo will likely be done coaching. Unfortunate.
