Hawaii Rainbow Warriors
The Rainbows recovered nicely from their opening home loss to USC by traveling over 11,000 miles to West Point, where they held off the Cadets in a must win game. UH almost let them game get away from them in the 3rd quarter when Army picked up 21 points, but they held on in the end with a Scott Ennos 31 yard FG with 10 seconds left. QB Bryant Moniz led the way by completing 25 of 36 passes for 353 yards and 3 scores.

Nevada Wolfpack
The Pack jumped out to an early 34-3 lead on CSU and coasted to a second win. Colin Kaepernick passed for 241 yards and another 2 scores, while he rushed for 161 yards and 2 more scores on the night. Vai Taua also busted the 100 yard mark with 118 yards rushing and a score. The Pack outgained the Rams offensively by a total of 631-227, and almost doubled up the Rams in 1st downs.

Didn't Learn Much
San Jose State Spartans
OK, the Spartans lost, but they didn't get crushed. Jordan La Secla actually had a solid day passing the football by completing 20 of his 26 attempts on the day. The defense also created 2 turnovers. Wisconsin may not have been playing up to par as far as focus was concernerd, and that has plagued them for two weeks. The Spartans were lucky.

Utah State Aggies
The Aggies romped out to a 31-3 lead, and then fell aslepp in the 4th quarter, allowing Idaho State to score twice. 4 different Aggies rushed for scores and Diondre Borel put in another solid game, but they should have shut the Bengals down for 4 quarters, not 3.

Failing Grade
Idaho Vandals
Nathan Enderle was picked off 5 times, and the Vandals turned the ball over 6 total times on the day. The defense never could find aq way to contain Husker QB Taylor Martinez, who ran all over the place. Not much went right on Saturday.

Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
The new offense again failed to supply any excitement to Tech fans. Tech was held to 269 yards and turned the ball over 4 times. The Bulldogs did, however, force 4 Aggie turnovers, but allowed Jerrod Johnson 4 TD passes.

New Mexico State Aggies
There was no way that the Aggies would win their season opener, but they had a shot until they had a complete meltdown in the 4th. This game was sitting on a 20-14 San Diego State lead, and then the Aztecs busted out 2 TDs in the 4th, and it was game over. The Aggies did find something that they lacked all of last season...a QB who can pass. Matt Christian passed for 223 yards on the Aztecs.
