Vanderbilt Commodores
Congrats to Robby Caldwell for his first victory as HC. Vandy only managed 12 first downs for the entire game, but they got up in Jeremiah Masoli's face all day long on defense and forced two picks out of him. That was enough to beat a downtrodden Ole Miss club.

Alabama Crimson Tide
Mark Ingram finally came back from injury, and he had over 100 yards in the 1st quarter alone in a romp over Duke. 4 Bama backs rushed for over 6 yards per carry. Greg McElroy had a solid game as well, having tossed for 3 TDs.

LSU Tigers
The Tigers intercepted 5 passes on the night, and beat Mississippi State on defense alone. The offense was barely necessary.

Kentucky Wildcats
You know that the slate will get tougher, but UK is 3-0 under Joker Phillips. Mike Hartline passed for 250 yards, while Derrick Locke rushed for 166 yards, and Kentucky rolled over the horrendous Zips.

Auburn Tigers
The Tigers found themselves down 17-0, but they never gave up and fought the game into OT, where they eventually won it. Cameron Newton passed for 203 yards and Ontarrio McCaleb picked up 81 yards rushing on just 10 carries.

Didn't Learn Much
Arkansas Razorbacks
The Hogs had to lean very heavily on Ryan Mallett once again, but he got the job done with a late TD pass against the Bulldogs in Athens. Mallett hit Greg Childs on what turned into a nifty catch and run of 40 yards with 0:27 seconds left to keep the game from going into OT.Mallett had 3 scores on the day.

Florida Gators
The Gators offense barely developed against Tennessee, but there was a flash or two in the second half. Jeff Brantley is still struggling in then offense, and one has to wonder if he is not living under the shadow of Tebow still...

South Carolina Gamecocks
Carolina looked like the last thing that they wanted to do was play Furman. They did what they basically had to do, with Marcus Lattimore rushing for 97 yards on 19 carries. Everything is going fine, but it's time to get funky.

Failing Grade
Georgia Bulldogs
Mark Richt will have all sorts of questions to answer this week to the Bulldog faithful. Georgia is falling backwards and fast.

Ole MIss Rebels
Losing to Jacksonville State and Vanderbilt is not a good message to send to your fan base in the SEC. Not even Masoli has been able to save this team.

Tennessee Volunteers
Derek Dooley had better buy some stock in TUMS. The Vols came off of a thrashing at the hands of Oregon, only to run into Florida. You can;t win that way, but the talent pool had better show some flashes soon.

Mississippi State Bulldogs
MSU also has been running a 2 QB op. It too decided to fail on Saturday. It's back to the drawing board, but you can't expect much.
