Taught a Master's Class
TCU Horned Frogs
The regular fixture in this area. TCU just rolled on Baylor on Saturday, and there no challenge involved.Robert Griffin was a non-factor against TCU's iron wall defense. A bigger challenge exists this weekend against arch rival SMU.

Utah Runnin' Utes
This is slowly turning out to be a 2 horse race between the Utes and the Frogs. Terrence Cain completed 20 of 23 passesfor 248 yards, and it was all Utes again.

Didn't Learn Much
Air Force Falcons
The Falcons lost to Oklahoma, but it was far from a failure. Air Force charged back at the end of the game, but just ran out of clock. This team will not quit, and they stand an outside chance of being the third horse in the MWC race behind TCU and Utah. 6 different backs ran for at least 4 yards per carry, which is impressive against Oklahoma.

San Diego State Aztecs
SDSU had the upset in hand and gave it away in Columbia. The Aztecs gave up a 68 yard TD pass with 1:10 left in the game. RB Ronnie Hillman busted loose for 228 yards rushing. His two scores came on runs of 75 and 93 yards. SDSU is coming up fast. This loss is just a bump in the road, but they should have won it.

Failing Grade
Colorado State Rams
When you lose to Miami (Ohio) by 3 TDs, it just can't get much worse. Freshman QB Pete Thomas is moving the ball, but he keeps making critical errors. Such is life as a freshman.

BYU Cougars
BYU seems to be in a free fall right now, and the QB combo that looked so good against Washington has fallen off of the map.

New Mexico Lobos
Has Mike Locksley packed up his office yet? The Lobos have given up 200 points in their first three games. It's not going to get any better people.

Wyoming Cowboys
The Cowboys have failed miserably in picking up from last season's momentum. Austin Carta-Samuals looked lost at the controls against Boise, but to be fair, Boise plays on a different planet.

UNLV Rebels
The rebuilding continues. The Rebels just need a win to see what it feels like, and so that they can learn. The good news is that they play New Mexico and Colorado State this season, so they can win 2 games.
