Taught a Master's Class
Toledo
The Rockets have improved steadily this season, and the Purdue win was the big one. Toledo is in a good spot going into MAC play next weekend.

Northern Illinois
The Huskies got win number 2 over the Big 10 for the MAC. NIU had been struggling badly all season so far, but this win may have helped them gain confidence and turn the corner.

Didn't Learn Much
Not a soul matches this group...a very bad week for the MAC

Failing Grade
Buffalo
The Bulls got blasted 31-7 in the second half of their loss. That's all you need to know.

Central Michigan
I probably could have put the Chippies into the above category, but they had gotten behind 31-13 before the comeback attempt failed. You can't get down by 18 on the road at a Big 10 school and expect to steal a win.

Bowling Green
The Falcons can't take anything positive away from the loss in Ann Arbor on Saturday. Even the Wolverin's 2nd and 3rd string QBs shredded the BG secondary. What a wash of a week.

Ball State
What a disaster this team is. Where is the heart? Where is the leadership? What the hell are they doing in Muncie?

Miami (Oh)
I totally gave the Redhawks props last week as they were looking like a team on the upswing after a few very bad seasons. Then they go out and get blasted at Missouri. Thanks a lot.

Temple
Sure they played Penn State to the wire, but when Bernard Pierce went down, their hopes went down too. Someone else needs to be able to carry the flag.

Eastern Michigan
It's been 20 years of futility at EMU. It doesn't get any worse than what happened on Saturday at Ohio State.

Ohio
The Bobcats have really struggled this season, and they had Marshall on the ropes on Saturday as they had a chance to tie the game and go to OT. HC Solich called for the 2 pointer instead, and it failed. That was a bad call, Coach.

Akron
The Zips have become a black hole where nothing good gets out. Rob Ianello, good luck.

Week 5 Schedule
Ohio at Eastern Michigan
Temple at Army
Kent State at Miami (Ohio)
Idaho at Western Michigan
Ball State at Central Michigan
Buffalo at Bowling Green
Northern Illinois at Akron
Wyoming at Toledo
