Dayne Crist was solid, and the rushing attack went well, but nothing is jumping off of the page about this win. It is a win against a big rival, but Purdue is not a great football team. Brian Kelly won it, so that's all that matters these days.

Army Cadets
Army really had to struggle to take out Eastern Michigan, and gave up way too many points. This defense was supposed to be better than this, and should have dominated a horrid EMU squad.

Failing Grade

Navy Midshipmen
Ricky Dobbs was like a rat trapped in a cage against Maryland, averaging only 2.2 yards per carry. That is not Dobbs at nearly his best, and so Navy sank with him. The defense played rather well in spite of the loss.
