Michigan State Head Coach Mark Dantonio suffered a mild heart attack after Saturday night's thrilling 34-31 win over Notre Dame in overtime. Coach Dantonio was complaining of not feeling very well when leaving the media trailer after the game, and after being checked over by the MSU football medical staff, it was decided that he was definately showing symptoms of an impending attack. He was driven to the hospital by his wife, and immediately underwent angioplasty surgery to solve the issue causing his illness.
Coach Dantonio had a succesful surgery, and doctor's say that the damage to his heart was minimal, and that he can expect a full recovery. It is unknown how long he will be away from his team, but it's all about him, his family, and his health right now, as it should be.
Best wishes to Coach Dantonio, his family, and the entire Michigan State Football community at large. We wish him the very best and a speedy recovery.
