Taught a Master's Class
TCU
You knew that the Frogs would get a test by playing at SMU last week, and they were tested in the first half. The second half...not so much. TCU pulled away after giving the Mustangs the false illusion that they could hang with one of the best. Cruel joke.

Colorado State
This will be a rare visit to this zone for the Rams. The real reason that they make it Master's Class this week is that they hung in all night against the Vandals, and even when they fell behind at the end of the 3rd, they never gave up and they kept on scrapping, and freshman QB Pete Thomas finally fell into a good groove.

Utah
Nobody can tell me that the Utes can't bust the BCS this season if they can handle TCU. Utah is a team that represents the big pink elephant in the room that nobody is talking about.

San Diego State
This is the best Aztec team in years, and Brady Hoke has them ahead of schedule. Ryan Lindley is a solid QB , but how about the emergence of Ronnie Hillman? Not his best game against USU, but this kid is solid.

UNLV
The Rebels needed a win for new HC Bobby Hauck, and the Lobos were happy to oblige. UNLV is still in a build and learn mode, but they will take a lot from this win.

Didn't Learn Much
Air Force
The Falcons were either exhausted from their trip to play Oklahoma last week, or they were looking ahead to Navy next week, but they were not themselves against the Cowboys. Time to get back to good with Navy coming up.

Failing Grade
Wyoming
The Cowboys were supposed to be extremely competitive this season, but that has not happened yet, as I count being competitive as being able to pull out some wins. The Cowboys have only beaten Southern Utah, and it wasn't by much.

BYU
The great BYU Cougars are too good to stick it out in the MWC...they have to go and get theirs as an independent, because everyone else is holding them down in this conference. If this is the selling point for having their own TV deal, then I am selling my stocks in that network.

New Mexico
Only two weeks left until the Mike Locksley firing party arrives!!! Allegedly.
