Thursday Preview

There is only one game on the slate for this Thursday on the 1-A level. Let's take a look.

Miami (1-1) at Pittsburgh (1-1)
Both teams are coming off of bye weeks, and both need wins to overcome early losses. The Panthers need star RB Dion Lewis to get his legs going, as he has been very slow thus far as teams are stacking up to stop him. Nobody has believed that QB Tino Sunseri can beat them, and so far they have been correct. That needs to change to add an eliment of play action to open up the field and force defenses to come off of the line. Pitt's only win has come against 1-AA New Hampshire, who promptly lost to Rhode Island a week later, taking some luster off of even that win.
In Miami, the focus has been on getting Jacory Harris right after he tossed 4 picks against just 1 TD in the loss at Ohio State. Harris has to be the focus on the offense, as the entire thing is built around him. The defense needs to pick it up a bunch as well, as Terrelle Pryor used and abused them all day two weeks ago.
Vegas Line: Miami -3
I pick: Miami...they have more talent, and a better grasp of desperation. Randy Shannon needs this win.

There are no 1-AA games scheduled for Thursday

American International visits Southern Connecticut while West Georgia will visit West Alabama on the D2 level.
